My name is Jane Cook, the Director of The Art & Creativity Center.
I am passionate about encouraging creativity and giving many opportunities
for our community to experience, create, and explore Art & Creativity.
I have a BS in Elementary Education and a minor in Art. I taught for North County R-1.

I believe that Art & Creativity are vital to our complete health and well-being and necessary for our society as a whole.
Art & Creativity not only gives us a way to express ourselves and bring beautiful things into the world,
it is also an important communication tool. Just look at how music and movies impact us.
Art also teaches us to try creative things, take chances, risks, and to go ”outside the box.”
Drawing and painting are learned skills that can teach us to use our right brain to see and think visually.
These skills developed in Art transfer to other areas in our lives and helps us to see other options to problems,
even when those ideas may not “make sense” to the practical, rational left brain.
Art –> Visual/observation skills + Creative thinking + Possible solutions + Development of risk-taking = Awesome results + Solution to problems
WHAT:
I am offering an Art curriculum of classes for Home Schoolers.
We will explore a wide variety of different art mediums, including:
Drawing, Painting, Polymer Clay, Fibers, and 3-dimensional Sculpture
WHEN:
Spring Semester 2024, 12 weeks, runs from March 7 – May 23.
TIME & Ages:
We will meet on Thursday mornings.
9 AM -10:30 AM for 6-11 year olds
11 AM -12:30 PM for 12-17 year olds
COST:
$120 per semester + small one time material fee $10 = $130 per semester paid at registration
1 child = $120 per semester + $10 material fee (12 classes) = $130
2 children = $240 per semester + $20 material fee (12 classes) = $260
A 15% discount for 3 or more children = $110.50 including material fee per child
OR MONTHLY PAY:
You may set up auto payments to pay monthly:
1 child = $40/month (+1x material fee at time of registration $10)
2 children = $80/month (+1x material fee at time of registration $20)
MONTHLY – 15% DISCOUNT:
3 or more children = $34/month/per child (+1x material fee at time of registration 8.50 per child)
**This is the cost to be in the class, per semester, regardless of attendance.
*Early Registration for Spring 2024 Semester begins Monday, December 4.
THE ART CENTER WILL BE CLOSED THE MONTH OF JANUARY. I WILL BE GONE TO CAMBODIA. I will be back on February 5.
Final Registration for Spring 2024 Semester is Monday, February 19, or until the classes are full.
The Art & Creativity Center is open M-W-F 10 am – 5 pm to the public and Saturdays 10-3.
